East Delhi Municipal Corporation on Saturday distributed licences to hundred of traders in the city.
BJP Delhi pradesh president Vijender Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion. Gupta said the BJP wants to start good governance in Delhi and making licensing procedure simple is one such endeavour.
“Delhi is a big commercial centre. The role of the three municipal corporations is very important,” said Gupta.
“It was a long-pending demand of the traders of the city that they may be provided licences in a simplified form so that corruption and red tapeism may be finished in the process,” added Gupta.
