BJP has been demanding a uniformed action plan to tackle naxalism and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has also termed it as the biggest danger for the country, Rajnath told reporters. Centre has taken steps to check naxalism but they should have been taken on time, he said. About the death of a BJP leader's son at the hands of suspected Maoists, he said Baliram Kashyap MP never bowed to the pressure of Naxals that was why they killed his son.

Naxals shot dead Kashyap's son Tansen on September 26 and injured his another son Dinesh. The BJP leader earlier met Kashyap's family members in Bastar and visited Dinesh in the hospital. He termed the reports of senior BJP leader L K Advani's retirement from active politics as baseless. Advani is a senior leader of the party and will guide us, he said.
