Kudige-Shirangala road to be developed

Speaking at a gram sabha organised in connection with the implementation of Suvarna Gramodya Scheme at Hebbale village near here on Thursday, MLA said that a proposal has already been submitted to the government for the development of Kudige - Shirangala road, which is in a deplorable condition.  Work will be commenced immediately after the government’s approval, he assured.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC S G Medappa said that villagers should avail the benefits of Suvarna Gramodaya Scheme properly for the overall development of the village.
Gram Panchayat President H N Raghu presided over the programme. Taluk panchayat president Shanthalli Lokesh, gram panchayat vice president Rajashekhar, members and officials were present.

A total of Rs 84 lakh will be released under the Suvarna Gramodaya Scheme for Hebbale gram panchayat in the first phase, Rs 50 lakh each will be reserved for the development of roads and drainages.

A community hall will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 12.5 lakh, while Rs 8.5 lakh will be reserved for the development of anganwadis.
A total of Rs 5.8 lakh will be allotted for waste management and Rs 5 lakh will be utilised for training.
