The Bangalore zonal unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau has seized nearly five kg of heroin valued at about Rs 5 crore in the international market.
The narcotic substance was seized from four people hailing from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh.
Sources at the Narcotics Control Bureau said that the four were caught at Tirupati, on their way to Bangalore. The four are suspected to have carried the heroin from Rajasthan and was meant to be sold in Bangalore.
Investigation is on.
