JOIN USA five-year-old girl who had come to visit her grandmother at Mukti Nagar in the City was allegedly sexually abused by her neighbour on Sunday. Mazhar Sheik, 21, the accused, was thrashed by the public before being handed over to police.
Nafeesa (name changed), daughter of a cab driver, had come to her grandmother’s house on Saturday. On Sunday noon, Sheik, who resides next door, lured the girl into his house with a chocolate. He is said to have locked the door and molested the girl.
He bit the child when she attempted to escape. Following screams from the girl, her grandmother alerted the neighbours, who broke open the door and rescued the girl before thrashing Sheik. The KG Halli police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code and Juvenile Justice Act.
