Kolkata schools take up graphology

Many schools here are turning to graphology, the science of analysing handwriting, so that they can understand the behavioural pattern of the students, their special needs and the method to discipline them scientifically.

“Graphology or the logical pattern of handwriting is a modern science through which you can understand the behavioural pattern of the person — his or her trait, and the mental condition. You can judge the person without even speaking to him or her,” Director of the Kolkata Institute of Graphology, Mohan Bose, said.

“Through graphology you can identify nearly 180 character traits of an individual. In fact you can even change to some extent the character of the person by changing the handwriting in a scientific manner. Some top ranking schools and even some teachers on their own are attempting this modern science to understand the students and change them with the help of this science,” Bose said.

When asked to explain the method, Bose said: “When an individual changes his handwriting in a scientific manner, as prescribed by a graphologist, and practises it regularly it reacts back to our thoughts via the same neuro-muscular path and influences the thought process. This is an age-old practice and is being exploited across the world”.
