The Karnataka State Secondary Education Examination Board will conduct the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examinations for the academic year 2012-13 from April 1, 2013.
The exams will go on till April 10. The first language exams will be held on the first day. The next day being a holiday, the core subjects’ exams for Junior Technical School (JTS) students will be held on April 3 for Indian political science and civics, along with Carnatic music and Hindustani music. Also, the general science exam for other students will be held on the same day.
The next day being a holiday, second language English and Kannada exams will be conducted on April 5.
On April 6, the following exams will be held for JTS students: elements of engineering, engineering drawing, elements of electronics engineering, elements of computer science and Indian economics. Mathematics and social science (for differently-abled students only) will be held on April 8; the third language on April 9; social science on April 10.
All exams will be held between 10.30 am and 1.15 pm with two exceptions: The music exams will be held from 2.30 pm to 5.45 pm and the engineering, drawing exam on April 6 will also be held between 2.30 pm and 5.45 pm.
