Two injured in group clash at KGF

The police have arrested two persons in this connection.Udayarangan (43) and Jasanta (33), residents of Franc And Co, are critically injured in the clash.

The police said, their neighbours, Anil, Mani and Jyothi had attacked the two with lethal weapons on Monday night. Udayarangan and Jasanta have been admitted to Nimhans in Bangalore for further treatment. Rivalry is said to be the reason behind the attack.
Sub-Inspector Markandaiah, who visited spot, has registered a case and arrested Mani (41) and Jyoti (24).

The accused have been handed over to judicial custody. DySP Sheshadri also visited
the spot.

Two assaulted

Two persons, including Student Federation of India district unit president Ambarish, were allegedly assaulted during the federation’s membership drive at the Government First Grade College in Urigao Police Station limits on Monday.

The incident occurred when the principal of the college, Lalitamma, allegedly objected to the membership drive being taken out on the college premises and instigated some persons to assault Ambarish and Jaibalachandar and asked the two to leave the place.
Sub-Inspector Krishna has registered a case against Lalitamma.

Meanwhile, Democratic Youths Federation of India taluk unit president Tangaraj has condemned the principal’s act. The students have also alleged that the principal’ act infringed upon the democratic rights of the students.
