DC's denial to install Alangur Srinivas' statue condemned

Demand for installing Alangur Srinivas’s statue in the taluk is growing. JD(S) party members and other organisations have said that the Deputy Commissioner must give permission to install the statue.

In a meeting, they explained the services and works by Alangur Srinivas to Mulbagal taluk.

‘No objection’

“No one has raised objection to installing the statue. But still it is sad that the deputy commissioner is not giving permission for it,” they lamented.

Zilla Panchayat members Shyamegowda, K R Kittappa, Srinivas, former presidents of taluk panchayat Raghupathi Reddy, C V Gopal and others were present at the meeting.
