Indians work efficiency is better when compared to that of people of China. But there is delay in progress due to inferiority complex, said S M Jamakhandi, Director of Small, Micro and Medium Industries Ministry.

He was addressing participants of a workshop on small enterprises at Robertsonpet on Saturday.

Gradual progress

“Industries should be set up as small enterprises to begin with, then there should be step by step progress and should make it a large one. Currently, government is providing financial assistance to such entrepreneurs,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer M Zulfikarulla said that, “Earlier, government jobs were considered as the only good employment prospects. But now, there are many options for employment. One can grow to any extent using his or her wit. Youths should make use of the facilities given by various departments under the Central government.”

Other places

“Industries are being set up in the outskirts of Kolar after laying of the National Highway. Soon, various industries will be set up at Vemagal and Devarayasamudra,” said Srinivasareddy, Assistant Director of District Industries Centre.
Officers of the Department of Small, Micro and Medium Industries, M Jagannathrao, S N Rangaprasad, G Nataraj, P Ravikumar were present on the occasion.
