ADE outclass DYSS; SAI blank ISRO

Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE) outplayed Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) 4-0 in the BDFA Super Division League at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Tuesday.

The thumping victory took ADE to 10 points from six matches, while DYSS are staring at relegation having suffered their sixth successive loss as the New Year failed to bring them any change of luck.

ADE were on the attack from the start and forward Sridhar shot over from close range in the 10th minute. Two minutes later, Anto Xavier failed to hit the target from inside the area.
Midway through the first half, DYSS foward Ravi Kiran missed a golden chance as he shot straight at ADE goalkeeper Dayalan from point blank.

ADE drew first blood in the 28th minute with Kumar slotting past rival custodian Sunil Kumar in a one-on-one situation. The side, coached by Manivannan, could have gone to the break two goals up, but Sridhar’s volley came back off the left post on the stroke of half-time.

However, ADE came out charged up on resumption and buried the game with three goals in a span of nine minutes. Santosh fed Lokesh and the latter made a fine run to the left wing before providing a pass to Anto Xavier whose shot was handled by Yathish Prathap inside the area in the 48th minute. Anto easily converted the resultant penalty.

The very next minute Anto latched on to a through ball from the right wing and easily beat Sunil. Lokesh completed the tally in the 54th minute as he cut into the box and fired home.

ADE could have added a couple more, but for striker Stephen’s poor finishing.
Earlier, SAI drubbed ISRO 5-0 in the ‘A’ Division. Saroj Roy (20th, 77th) scored a brace, while Paoneo Haokip (28th), Vickey (65th), Vignesh (74th) struck one each.
