Ultras kill 3 in Orissa

 However, Sudam Marandi, a senior leader of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha(JMM) and former Lok Sabha member from Mayurbhanj, escaped the attack unhurt.

Apart from the police officer, the other two who were killed in the attack which took place in Pandav village under Chandua police station limits of the backward district are the personal body guard of the former MP and a gram rakhi (village guard).

  According to preliminary reports, the Maoists reached the spot of the incident posing themselves as tribal dancers to welcome Marandi.

The detailed report on the incident is still awaited. Mayurbhanj Superintendent of Police and other senior police officials of the Naxal-infested district have rushed to the spot.
