A man has been booked on charges of sending lewd and threatening message to his estranged wife in Raipur, police said today.
"A case has been registered with Gole bazar Police station against Anand Vishwakarma under IT Act and for issuing life threat, based on the complaint of his wife yesterday evening," Additional Superintendent of Police Lal Umed Singh told PTI.
Vishwakarma's wife had lodged a complaint against him alleging that he had sent vulgar messages and threatened her with dire consequences, Singh said.
Following differences between the two for the past few months, the woman had left her husband and was living at her mother's place.
