Irrfan to play Nehru

The actor will star opposite Cate Blanchett, who will play Edwina Mountbatten. Hugh Grant may be playing the role of Lord Mountbatten, India’s last viceroy and Edwina’s husband. The movie is based on Alex Von Tunzelmann’s book Indian Summer — The Secret History Of The End Of An Empire. The Government of India has cleared the script of the film, on the condition that it be shown to a government representative upon completion.
