He had planted cotton in his three-acre land. However, he lost his crop in the recent floods. He had borrowed Rs 40,000 from a bank in Halagur and had also taken money from people. He took his life, as he was anxious about repaying the loan amount that he had incurred for cultivation of cotton. He is survived by wife and two sons. A case has been registered by the Shiggaon police.
