Addressing a press meet, he said BJP is not opposed any kind of probe including Lokayukta probe into the misappropriation. “We have great respect towards senior leaders like M C Nanaiah and A K Subbaiah. Both are well versed in law. Instead of seeking Lokayukta probe in a press meet, let them file an affidavit in High Court, seeking probe into the incident. We will welcome their move,” he added.

He said National Horticulture Mission is the project of the Centre. Right now Congress is in the Centre. So A K Subbaiah can demand for CBI probe into misappropriation.”
BJP district Spokesperson M B Devaiah refuted the allegation that BJP ZP members had been to Nagpura to purchase Nagpura orange plants.

Zilla Panchayat Standing Committee on Education and Health President Manu Muthappa said House committee was constituted as Lokayukta probe will be delayed.

From the beginning ZP member V P Shashidhar has been spoiling the ZP meeting. He was sent out of the meeting when K P Chandrakala was the President. The allegation that Shashidhar was sent out of the ZP hall based on the direction of Assembly Deputy Speaker K G Bopaiah is far from truth.
