<p>Cases have been booked against 285 autorickshaw drivers by the officers of the Legal Metrology department, during their recent drive against tampered meters.<br /><br /></p>.<p>A senior official from the department said 246 of the 285 cases have been disposed of and a fine of Rs 1.21 lakh had been collected from the defaulters. In remaining cases, action will be initiated as per the department rules, he added.<br /><br />Public can lodge complaint on 080-22253500 or 22207750 if they come across tampered meters.
