Star batsman Cheteshwar Pujara suffered a blow during Indian team's net session at the PCA Stadium ahead of the third cricket Test against Australia starting Thursday.

Architect of India's victory in the second Test in Hyderabad, Pujara was hit on the left knee by a local bowler as he was batting in the nets. The batsman looked in considerable pain as he was forced to leave the nets.

After getting medical attention, Pujara had his left-knee strapped and didn't take any further part in the training session.

He was seen initially walking with a slight limp before he choose to lie on a bench adjacent to the nets. As the net session ended, he got up and was seen walking back with his gears into the pavillion.

As has been the common practice with the Indian team these days, the players warmed up by playing a game of football before starting with their customary net session.

Senior batsman Sachin Tendulkar concentrated on playing the spinners mainly and faced a lot of deliveries from Harbhajan Singh and Pragyan Ojha.

Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane -- the two players who are waiting for their maiden call-up also enjoyed productive session as they faced the net bowlers for a considerable period of time.

Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni also enjoyed his batting session as Ishant Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja did sent down a number of deliveries.
