Sex worker's killer sent to Tihar Jail

A youth, who had shot dead an alleged sex worker for opposing his relationship with another woman, was remanded back to 13 days judicial custody by a Delhi court on Monday

Metropolitan magistrate Saumya Chauhan sent back accused Munshi Ram Yadav to Tihar till March 30 after he was produced before the court on expiry of his earlier 14 days remand.
On February 25, Yadav was sent to seven days police custody as they wanted to take him to Saharsa in Bihar to find out the source of the weapon used in the crime.

Earlier, police had sought his custody, saying he had bought a country-made pistol from Bihar to kill the woman, whom he allegedly shot twice on February 24 night near Sarai Kale Khan, close to the busy Inter State Bus Terminal and a PCR van.
