South Indian actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who will be seen opposite Ajay Devgan in Himmatwala, thinks it’s challenging to work with a superstar. “There aren’t only advantages of working with a superstar — there are disadvantages. The good part is that a lot of people will come and watch the film at least,” Tamannaah says.

In most typical Bollywood masala films, heroes take centre stage and heroines are little more than accessorises. The actress agrees with this but says, “I feel for an actress, commercial films are a bigger challenge than a film where there is a title role for them. When you have a limited role in the film, it’s important to captivate the audience.”

“The job of an actor is to perform better and attract the audience, even in that short span of your screen presence. It becomes more challenging as there are fewer scenes,” she adds. She feels that one must keep in mind the likes and dislikes of the audience while choosing a film. “When Himmatwala came my way, I was sure that it would be super entertaining as it had Sajid Khan and Ajay Devgan. They both have been consistent with their films and people have liked them,” she explains.

“At the end of the day, films are a team work. A good film will be churned out when people on board are good and work together,” she reflects. The 23-year-old is all praises for her co-star Ajay, saying, “He is an honest human being, (which) reflects on screen. As an audience member, I relate to him on that level.”Himmatwala, directed by Sajid Khan, will release on March 29.
