Discord between dalits, caste Hindus resolved

The conflict had begun when the Dalits unveiled a portrait of Dr B R Ambedkar in their colony recently which enraged the upper caste people leading to the social boycott of dalits.
The cold war between the two communities  reached nadir when Dalit Sangharsha Samiti staged protest in front of the taluk office and pressed for action against the people responsible for social boycott.

However gauging the sensitiveness of the issue, taluk administration and police strived hard to convince both the communities to hold peace talks without booking a case.
The efforts paid rich tributes has they received positive response from both the communities. Dalit Sangharsh Samiti extended full support and not to interfere in the internal matters of the village once the issue was solved.

The issue by and large was solved amicably and both the communities assured to curb misunderstanding among them. They also promised to lead a peaceful and harmonious life which had been following since ages.

Tahsildar Jayamadhava, Mulbagal DySP Rajanna, Circle Inspector Jaishankar, Sub-Inspector Sanjeevaraya, village leaders Choudappa, Venugopal, Shekhappa, Lakshminarayan, Venkatesh, Muniyappa and others were present on the occasion.
