This year’s Common Admission Test or CAT will be held over a period of 20 days between October 16 and November 1, 2013.
The test will be conducted by IIM Indore, with Professor Rohit Kapoor as the convener. Four new test centres — namely Surat, Udaipur, Trivandrum and Vijayawada — have been set up, taking the total number of test locations to 40 for this year’s exam.
“Getting to know the dates well in advance of the registration and testing window will enable candidates to prepare better for a successful future,” said Kapoor. “As always, our focus remains on conducting the test in a fair and secure manner,” he added.
The vouchers for CAT will be available between July 29 and September 24 in select Axis Bank branches. Registrations will be open from July 29 to September 26.
Managing Director, Prometric India, IIMs’ partner in developing and delivering CAT 2013, Soumitra Roy, said: “The new locations will provide greater flexibility and ease for candidates while scheduling their appointments.”
