Last Updated 03 May 2013, 20:38 IST

The BSR Congress candidate from KR Pura constituency on Friday created a flutter among his partymen and others, by playing ‘a hide-and-seek’ game to evade money-lenders.

Firoz Pasha, 27, went ‘missing’ in the morning and surrendered before the police at Bagepalli in Chikkaballapur in the evening.

Rafiq, who filed a complainant with the KR Puram police, said: Pasha went missing from his house at AK Colony. The police immediately formed a special probe team. They could not track his cellphone as it was switched off, a police official said.

However, around 7 pm, the investigating officials received a call from Bagepalli police, stating that Pasha had walked into their station and surrendered. He told the police officials that he did the ‘disappearing act’ to keep away from the money-lenders who frequented his house.

The KR Puram police have requested the Bagepalli police to escort Pasha for further inquiry.
