About 768 sites are vacant in Indira Gandi extension. Under ISHUP scheme, houses will be constructed in the site. Those who like to construct house will be given loan of Rs 1 lakh at the rate of 4 per cent interest. For the construction of Ashraya houses, a sum of Rs 40,000 will be given.
The list of beneficiaries are being prepared for the construction of 250 houses in Shanthinagara, Ladythalab and Tamil colony. “We have already held discussion with the Sewerage board President in this regard. Title deeds have been distributed to the residents of Shanthinagara and Indira Gandhi extension. The title deeds of those who do not reside in the land allotted to them will be cancelled.”
A team has been constituted to look out for those ashraya houses where the beneficiaries do not reside.
