Last Updated 08 June 2013, 19:52 IST

Police stopped the shoot of a commercial featuring Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan here for not obtaining permission on Saturday. A chopper which was to be used for the shoot was seized, officials said.

A police officer said that they had denied permission for the chopper’s use during the shoot, which was to take place at a five-star hotel near Kukas on the outskirts of the city, on safety grounds.

Ajay Sharma and Rajesh Kumar, who provide logistics for movie and commercial advertisements' shooting, had sought permission for the chopper's use.

“However, the helipad which was to be used for the chopper’s landing had been declared unfit. Police denied the permission,” said Deputy commissioner (North ) Mahendra Singh.

Ajay Sharma reportedly tampered with the letter by police refusing permission for the shooting by  removing “not” from the letter.

The officer said that despite the denial of permission, the chopper landed at the hotel around 10 am on Saturday.
