“Western Disturbances over the Jammu and Kashmir region are leading to the rise in temperature in Delhi and other northern states. The maximum temperature for Wednesday is expected to be 29 degrees Celsius and the minimum 15 degrees Celsius,” said an IMD official.

The minimum temperature recorded in the capital on Wednesday was 15.6 degrees Celsius, two degrees above the average. The maximum temperature on Tuesday touched 31 degrees Celsius, a notch above the average.

The official added that the sky would be partly cloudy during the day but “the western disturbances would clear by evening”. The IMD website updates indicated that the minimum temperatures in most parts of Rajasthan were three to six degrees above average.
