The Zal Irani Cup clash between the Ranji Trophy champions of the upcoming domestic season and Rest of India will be held from February 9-13 next year at a venue which will be decided later by the BCCI.

The annual fixture between the domestic champions has been shifted from the beginning of the season to the latter half from last season by the BCCI.

The Ranji knockout games – comprising four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the final – will be played at venues to be identified by the Ground and Pitches Committee, of the BCCI in consultation with the Chairman of the Technical Committee.

The Col C K Nayudu juniors’ tournament will commence on October 28 and conclude on January 12 after the four-day final.

The league phase of the tournament would see the teams divided into elite and plate groups similar to what was the format for Ranji Trophy a few seasons ago.

Ranji knockout schedule:
Quarterfinals: Jan 8-12, 2014; Semifinals: Jan 18-22; Final: Jan 29-Feb 2. Irani Cup: Feb 9-13.
