Vikshith slams ton in Bethany's big win

An unbeaten century by Vikshith helped Bethany High School trounce Baldwin Boys School by 84 runs in a Cottonian Shield under-16 category match here on Friday.

After Bethany elected to bat, Vikshith justified the decision with a sparkling 102 not out to lead his team to an impressive 176/6 from their allotted 20 overs. Sachin (3/18) and Rahul (3/10) then chipped in with regular wickets to restrict Baldwin’s to 92 all out and ensure a comfortable victory for Bethany.

In an under-14 encounter, Bishop Cotton Boys’ School did exceedlingly well to defend a paltry 83 to post a 12-run win over Frank Anthony Public School.
