Congress programme to educate people on government schemes

The programme, “Aam Aadmi ka sipahi” (soldier of layman) billed as brainchild of Rahul Gandhi is being implemented in ten districts including Chikkaballapur.

A youth Congress member will be appointed as “Aam Aadmi ka Sipahi” at the district level apart from a block-level coordinator for two blocks, two for each panchayat and wards. These volunteers shoulder the responsibility of educating the public on the various schemes designed by the Union government and also highlight the failure of the ruling establishment in the State. They will also take pains to communicate any discrepancies in implementation of the schemes, disclosed District Youth Congress president Addagal Sridhar here on Thursday.

He also said that Rahul Gandhi has proposed to constitute an Election Commission for the Congress to ensure inner party democracy in appointment to various party posts. The process of appointment of election officers has been set in motion and experienced young members of the Congress can file applications. Convention held

A  convention of YOuth Congress was held in the City recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Youth Congress State president Krishnabhyre Gowda claimed that a political organisation without dissidence can provide better governance to the country. Congress is the only such party that can ensure stable administration for the people,” claimed Speaking at Youth Congress convention held in the City recently, Krishnabhyregowda said that a political organisation besieged with internal bickering suffers serious setback and the present crisis in the ruling BJP is a glaring example in this regard, he noted and called upon Youth Congress workers not to give any room for dissidence in the party. He suggested them work in unison for strengthening the party.

Disclosing that special status has been accorded to women in Youth Congress, cutting across all man-made barriers, Gowda said that a political party can reach the zenith if women contribute in party building activities.
