A mechanic was killed when his two-wheeler rammed a parked lorry near City Armed Reserve (CAR) grounds, Mysore Road late on Saturday night.
The deceased has been identified as Syed Fairoz Pasha, 35.
Police sources say that Pasha was running a garage nearby and was returning home on his bike when the accident occurred.
A lorry was parked in front of Sharma Transport near CAR Grounds and Pasha, speeding on the bike, dashed his motorcycle into the lorry from behind.
He suffered a severe head injury and was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, but was declared brought dead.
Central Traffic police have registered a case and are further investigating the case.
