NSG team inspects KRS

Inspects garden area, main entrance, North bank

A team of officials of National Security Guard (NSG) on Tuesday visited the Krishnarajasagar reservoir and took stock of the situation.

The team which visited the dam at 9 am on Tuesday, inspected the garden, checked the main entrance, North Bank, boating arena, park, Cauvery statue, fountain, for more than half a day. A four-member team led by Major Srinivasulu collected information from the officials of Cauvery Neeravari Nigam.

The team collected information on the construction of the dam, its safety, number of visitors visiting the spot every day, number of vehicles plying every day to the dam and other details. Nigam’s executive engineer Vijay Kumar, assistant executive engineer Mahalingegowda and others provided the necessary information.Mandya Superintendent of police Bushan G Borase outlined the police security deployed on the spot and other details.
