Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi on Tuesday met party workers and leaders and discussed ways and means to strengthen the organisation in Amethi, Rahul’s Lok Sabha constituency.
They arrived on a three-day visit to the constituency on Tuesday.
They drove straight to the Munshiganj guest house, where they met party leaders and a cross-section of the electorate. The issue of selection of the block level presidents of the party in the constituency was also discussed.
On their way to Munshiganj, the Gandhi scion’s cavalcade was stopped at many places by the local people, who apprised him about their problems. Rahul assured them all possible help.
