The proper code of conduct

Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha might be a story about a revolution but it has its fair share of romance picturised around the characters of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ajay Devgan.

The actors even shot a love song called Ras Se Bhare Tore Nain Saawariya for the movie, in which they are seen getting intimate on the screen.

The sequence required the two actors to kiss but rumour has it that Kareena, otherwise a very dedicated actress, flatly refused to do so. Interestingly, in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Omkara, Kareena had done some very intimate scenes with Ajay.

But that was before her marriage.

Says a source close to the team, “Prakash ji wanted at least a brush-on-the-lips since this was a very passionate moment between the lead pair. But now after marriage, Kareena won’t do any intimate scenes with any of her co-stars — not even her own husband Saif.

There is a certain code of conduct that Kareena must follow as a Pataudi bahu. Also, Kareena would do nothing to hurt her mother-in-law (Sharmila Tagore) whom she loves dearly.”
