Darshan, Suhas efforts help Mofussil XI earn first day's honours in final

Darshan MB and Suhas S bagged nine wickets between them as the duo helped Mofussil XI wrest the initiative -- even if only for a little while -- against Combined XI on the opening day of their two-day final in the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s inter-zonal under-19 tournament at Alur (1) on Wednesday.

Put into bat, Combined XI were bowled out for 249 in 74.5 overs with Rakshith (82) and BR Sharath (73) doing the bulk of the scoring.

Darshan (5/56) and Suhas (4/58) helped Mofussil get the upperhand.

In reply, Mofussil fared no better with the bat as they wrapped up the opening day with the score reading 54 for three in 24 overs.

Mofussil need another 195 to make Combined bat again.
