Police has registered a case of abetment to suicide against the principal of the private school.
The accused, Bajrang Bishnoi, allegedly gave a sound thrashing to Deepak Chander after he forgot to carry his admit card to the examination centre for his semester examination.
Deepak’s shocked father, Subhash who is a peon in a government office, said his son was upset after the incident.
“I assured him that I would request the principal to take him back on the school rolls. After that he went to his grandparents’ house and set himself ablaze after pouring kerosene over himself,” said a disconsolate Subhash.
