Overflowing manhole
The manhole lid has opened due to heavy rain on 3rd Main, RR Layout, Nagadevanahalli near Kengeri under Rajarajeshwarinagar BBMP ward. This has caused inconvenience to the residents and is a tragedy waiting to happen for commuters on the road. BWSSB officials are requested to resolve the problem at the earliest.

Road humps not painted
Some of the road humps in JP Nagar 5th phase - on the stretch from Aishwarya Bakery (Udupi Upahar Hotel) to Ring Road, have not been painted white. This has become a huge problem for motorcyclists. Also, there is no proper pavement/footpath on this stretch as a result of which pedestrians have to walk on the road risking their lives. Similarly, the lanes parallel to Shamanna Garden have not been tarred.
Another problem is that there is no proper feeder service from JP Nagar metro station to the surrounding areas.

Check flooding at underpass
The Sankey Road underpass is in a terrible mess. Every time it rains, water fills the underpass and it is closed for several days. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahangara Palike appears to be not concerned about the inconvenience being caused to people because of the underpass closure. The mud deposited in the underpass is never removed and it it just pushed aside. The BBMP is requested to take suitable steps to ensure that the underpass is not flooded.

Stinking rail tracks near school
The railway overhead bridge connecting Subramanyanagar and Malleswaram near Cluny Convent High School is full of debris and garbage. Neither BBMP nor the Railways has bothered to keep the area clean.
All sorts of refuse have been dumped here by shopkeepers and residents in the vicinity. I have personally drawn this appalling and sickening sight to people staying nearby but nothing has happened for long. It is indeed a mockery to see a Swachh Abhiyan placard not far from this place. Complaints galore have gone unheeded all these days. Since the area is close to the open playground of Cluny Convent, kindergarten children and students are most likely to be afflicted with dengue etc. The BBMP has to take swift action to prevent the spread of vector-born diseases.

Damaged roads in Begur
The main road in Classic Paradise Layout, Begur, was dug up in October 2016 to lay drainage pipes to the nearby DLF Newtown apartments in Akshaya Nagar. This led to significant damage to the road. BBMP was supposed to repair the road/relay it.
However, nothing has been done for the last 11 months and the state of the road has deteriorated due to rain. This road is regularly used by motorists who travel from Electronics City/Begur towards Bannerghatta Road. The road is full of potholes and uneven. To avoid these, motorists drive on the wrong side of the road, leading to hazards for those using it. Frequent requests by the residents to the corporator concerned have not helped and the road continues to be dangerous for the users. The BBMP should take necessary steps to restore the road at the earliest.

Litter problem in KS Layout
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike and the local corporator have not taken any steps to address garbage problem in Kumaraswamy Layout, 2nd stage. This has resulted in health issues and water clogging. We even called the corporator over the phone to complain about the problem. The garbage problem in this area has not been addressed by elected representatives till now.I have emailed to the Palike commissioner also. All that I get is a couple of phone numbers, but no action taken.

Asphalting not done in BDA-approved layout
The Coffee Board Layout in Hebbal Kempapura of ward No 7, with 13 main roads and 11 cross roads, was approved by BDA for residential purpose in 1992. At present, there are around 500 houses here.
The 1st and 2nd main and cross roads were asphalted during the formation of the layout. Over the years, the asphalting has given way and subsequently, during the laying of the UGD system and Cauvery water pipes, these two roads were dug up, leading to further deterioration.
This has caused untold miseries to the residents, particularly senior citizens and schoolchildren. During showers, the problem is aggravated by the slush. BBMP authorities are hereby requested to take steps to asphalt the two roads on a war-footing.
