Transport Minister R Ashok, who was heading the Cabinet sub-committee to frame Akrama-Sakrama scheme, handed over the recommendations to the Chief Minister at the latter’s official residence.
Speaking to Deccan Herald Ashok said the scheme would come into effect if it is cleared in the next Cabinet meeting. The minister said the scheme will not dig deep into the pockets of people, as compared to the previous Sakrama scheme that was brought in the year 2007.
“The present scheme is almost 50 to 60 pc lower when compared to 2007,” he said.
