"There is more to US than Washington. Opportunities are being missed in other parts of the country," Greater Dallas Indo-American Chamber Founding chairman Ashok Mago said, in an open letter to the Prime Minister. "Not only over one hundred thousand strong Indian American community live in Dallas metropolitan, but the entire business and civic community extends invitation to you and your entire administration to come and see what we have to offer," the letter said.

It underlined various sectors that can be tapped and hold immense opportunities for Indian investors. Dallas metropolitan area, the open letter said, is home to 25 fortune 500 companies including Exxon Mobil. While, Dallas Fort Worth airport with seven runways in terms of operations is the third busiest airport in the world and can be a profitable route for ailing Air India, he said.

Noting that agriculture, education and healthcare is key to strengthen Indian economy, he said, Texas is ranked number one in exports and second in total agriculture production in the country.  "UT Southwestern Medical Center has Four Nobel Laureates, three of whom are active faculty members. It is ranked 4th in population of Metro Areas in USA and is larger than 33 states," Mago said.
