Byatarayanapura police have arrested eight men attempting robbery at Dodda Mori near Pramod Layout.
The arrested are Jagadish alias Jaggi (23), Girish (23), Vittal (24), Devaraj alias Gujri (20), Raghavendra alias Tango (25), Ajay (25), Manikanta (34) and Palani (29). Police have seized lethal weapons, Rs 50,000 in cash and an autorickshaw from the gang.
The members of the gang told the police that they had waylaid the cashier of Manjunath Bar and Restaurant on Kanakapura Road and robbed him of Rs 1.23 lakh on September 30 night.
