Punjab’s Anmolpreet Singh (168) and Prabjot Singh (113) sent the Karnataka bowlers on a leather hunt as they piled on the runs on the second day of their four-day Cooch Behar Trophy Under-19 Elite ‘C’ match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Monday.

After the Punjab bowlers had bowled out the home team for a paltry 152 in 65.4 overs, the visitors ran up a huge score of 467/5 in 115 overs, for an overall lead of 315 runs.

The day began well for Karnataka with T Pradeep dismissing PS Trehan for nought but after that early strike all the bowlers bled runs as they couldn’t contain the Punjab batsmen.
After Anmolpreet added 178 for the second wicket with the other opener MS Bawa (78), the former joined hands with Prabjot for a punishing 121-run association which came off just 24.1 overs.

NS Chaudhary (52) and KS Kalia (15) were at the crease for the visitors. Brief scores: Karnataka: 152 all out in 65.4 overs vs Punjab: 467/5 in 115 overs (Anmolpreet Singh 168, Prabjot Singh 113, MS Bawa 72, NS Chaudhary 52 n.o. Navneet Singh 31).
