Thousands of devotees had a glimpse of the five lingas on the second day of the ‘Panchalinga Darshana’ at Talakad near here on Tuesday.
The devotees made a beeline for the Vaidyeshwara temple since morning. The Brahmarathotsava was held as part of the celebrations. Poojas were offered to the ‘utsava’ idols before being taken out in a car procession on the designated route.
While the idols of Lakshmi, Saraswathi and Ganesha were taken out in one car, those of Lord Vaidyanatheshwara and Goddess Manonmani were taken out in the other. Nateshotsava, Hamsa Vahanotsava and other rituals were performed. Cultural programmes were held at the Ranga Mantapa constructed near Gokarna in Talakad.
