The Supreme Court on Friday refused to enlarge mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy on bail in connection with the illegal mining case involving Associated Mining Company.
A bench of Justices C K Prasad and Kurian Joseph, however, fixed a six-month deadline for the CBI court to finish trial in the case.
He is facing charges under various provisions of the IPC, Prevention of Corruption Act, besides other cases relating to Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
