Medical negligence alleged for doc's death

A doctor, who had delivered a baby girl three days ago, died allegedly due to medical negligence in Byatarayanapura on Friday. 

The deceased has been identified as Dr Ganga, 29, a resident of Pramod Layout and assistant professor with BGS Medical College.

Dr Ganga, who hailed from Davangere was married to Satish, a software engineer. She was admitted to a private hospital at Jayanagar 9th Block four days ago, where she delivered a baby girl the next day, said the police.

“She had blood clot in her abdomen and was discharged after doctors gave her some medicines. But, she complained of severe pain and breathlessness after she returned home. Ganga’s condition worsened on Friday and her husband took her to a private hospital near his house, but she died on the way,” said the police.

Satish and Ganga’s parents alleged that medical negligence claimed her life. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
