JOIN US For Jason and Jenny Cairns-Lawrence from Britain’s West Midlands, the first anniversary of the Mumbai attacks comes as a sense of deja vu - for, every time they went on holiday to New York, London or Mumbai, there was a terrorist attack. The husband-wife duo, dubbed the world’s unluckiest couple, were also lucky — they escaped unhurt on September 11 (New York), London (July 7) and Mumbai (November 26).
Jenny, 26, a dental laboratory worker, said: “It’s a strange coincidence. The terror attacks just happened when we were in the cities. I shouldn’t be laughing about it, but it is a strange coincidence.
Jason, 42, said: “I would say that Mumbai sprang back to its feet faster than New York or London. New York took almost a week to come back to normal. But Mumbai was back to its usual business from day three. It was just amazing. The couple had refused to cut-short their holiday after the Mumbai attack.
