<p>Good food and fun-filled activities underlined the ‘Christmas Bazaar’ organised by the Anglo-Indian Association at the Frank Anthony Public School recently. The day was made for the many visitors who came with their friends and family.<br /><br /></p>.<p>The bazaar had everything one could think of — right from delicious Anglo-Indian food and creamy cupcakes to various Christmas decorations and homemade decorative items.Annabelle, who had put up a stall at the bazaar, said that this is an annual event organised by the Anglo-Indian community in Bangalore. <br /><br />“We make sure that the entire community comes together and participates in this event. Most of the items sold here are homemade. For instance, I have displayed many products like bags, crochet shoes and other items made out of recycled paper and wood. We have this event right before Christmas every year and it is a lot of fun,” she informed.<br /><br />The highlight of the day was when Santa arrived at the bazaar, shaking hands with the children and distributing goodies to them. <br />Different events like pony rides and carnival games were simultaneously held at the venue. <br />Apart from various handmade products, many also sold homemade wines, plum cakes, cookies and other goodies. <br /><br />Michelle D’Rozario, who had a food stall, was sold out. <br />“We were selling authentic Anglo-Indian food from Kolkata. People loved our food and we were sold out in the first half of the event itself. We had sandwiches, cutlets, noodles etc and got a great response from the visitors,” she said.<br /><br />Homemade fruit cakes were also a favourite. Rhea, who was present at the bazaar with family and friends, enjoyed the day. <br />“The weather is lovely and there is so much to choose from. We also get to meet our family and friends here. It is a lot of fun. I took part in some of the games and managed to win prizes. We make sure that we attend the bazaar every year and this year, I decided to bring some of my friends along. This is yet another way to celebrate the festive season,” she noted.</p>
