The Delhi police on Saturday brought Yasin Bhatkal, the terror suspect arrested in connection with several bomb blast cases, to Vitlamakki in the taluk for investigation.

Ahmed Bava, said to be a friend of Bhatkal, had set up a toy-making unit on two acres of  land in Vitlamakki. Bhatkal is said to have taken shelter in this unit while he was on the run from the police. The Mangalore police had raided the place in 2008 on the suspicion that Bhatkal was assembling bombs there. The owner of the said land and few others were also questioned in this connection.

Bhatkal was brought to Vitlamakki from Delhi via Mangalore, amid tight security by 15 armed guards. He was subjected to medical examination at the local hospital and taken to the toy-making unit where he reportedly took shelter.
