Siddaramaiah told reporters that he had instructed Public Works Minister H C Mahadevappa and Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy to speak

to representatives of lorry owners’ associations on Thursday. The strike called by sand truckers that entered the 12th day on Wednesday has resulted in the the price of sand skyrocketing. “We will listen to them (sand truckers) and resolve their grievances,” he said.
