Hoover's all-round show spurs FUCC

Stalin Hoover’s all-round performance was the cornerstone of Friends Union Cricket Club’s comprehensive 10-wicket win over Modern Cricket Club in the YS Ramaswamy Memorial Trophy league here.

Hoover scalped two for 13 as FUCC managed to restrict Modern CC for a modest 174/5 in 50 overs. Milind Ramesh top-scored for Modern with 88. In reply, FUCC made short work of the target, scoring 175 in just 17 overs without losing a wicket as Hoover struck an unbeaten 109. Sadiq Kirmani remained undefeated on 49.
