The BJP Mahila Morcha has taken exception to the comments made by Uma- shree, Minister for Kannada and Culture, against the party in Tumkur on Sunday and stated that it is unbecoming of the minister of culture to speak such language.
In a statement, Morcha president Shashikala Jolle and others stated that Umashree had failed to discharge her duties as minister and was casting aspersions on the BJP.
Umashree had stated that while in the Congress, Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi had sacrificed their lives for the country, BJP had not even sacrificed a dog for the country.
The BJP leaders stated while the Gandhis had only fallen prey to assassins, it was Sangh leaders like Shyamaprasad Mukherjee and Deendayal Upadhyaya who had given their lives for the country.
