The Gandhi scion launched a scathing attack on BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for “patronising” corruption in Gujarat. “Marketing mein woh log (BJP) humse agey hain...ye manana padega (they are ahead of us in marketing... we will have to admit this),” Rahul said while addressing a well attended rally at Pratapgarh, about 200 km from here.

“We are ahead in working, they are ahead in marketing,” the Congress leader remarked.
He told the gathering that as many as three ministers from the Modi cabinet have spent time in jail for corruption charges. “The BJP is blind to corruption in Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Chhattisgarh,” he said. He also refuted Modi’s claims that he had been behind Gujarat’s development. “What Gujarat is because of its people and not because of any individual,” he said.

He crediting the UPA government for bringing Lokpal, RTI, Right to Food, MGNREGS and other schemes.
